Annual Membership Meeting Held In VegasANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING HELD IN VEGAS

It’s Vegas baby!!  This year’s annual meeting was held at Mandalay Bay Resort on the Las Vegas Strip March 23-25.  Both contractors and associate members gathered in Vegas for seminars and fun and of course some networking.  Mike McCullion, Safety Director at SMACNA conducted a safety class for attendees on how to have a safety culture in your company and what are the hot topics in the safety industry today.  Eli Howard, Technical Director for SMACNA presented on code updates and changes to the SMACNA manuals plus added updates to the industry.  Contractors having Iowa licenses were able to get their needed CEUs to renew their licenses this year from the presentations.

A welcome reception was held on Thursday night at the hotel with drinks and appetizers.  A special thank you to Jim Myers and Sheet Metal Connectors for sponsoring this event.

On Friday night, attendees were entertained at TopGolf.  Some golfed, some just ate and drank and socialized but all had fun.  There were many requests to do it again anytime the annual meeting is near a TopGolf.  A special thank you to Millennium Technology, Setpoint Mechanical Solutions, Mechanical Sales and Daikin for sponsoring bays at the event.

Next year’s annual membership meeting will be in Savannah, Georgia April 18-22.  Mark your calendars and make plans to attend for some southern hospitality and fun times.
