SMACNA Convention

The 75th Annual SMACNA Convention was held October 14-17, 2018 at the Marriott Marquis in San Diego.  Attendees had many seminars to choose from and a big product show to attend. The meet and greet on Sunday night was held at the Midway Museum which is on the aircraft carrier Midway docked in the San Diego marina.  The highlight of the night was when a trio of skydivers parachuted onto the deck of the aircraft carrier carrying not only the American flag but the SMACNA flag. The entertainment for the last night was pop singer Andy Grammer who put on a high energy show.  Chapter night was held in conjunction with the Kansas City Chapter at the Harbor House Restaurant on the harbor. The convention was a great time to celebrate 75 years of SMACNA. Make plans to attend next year in Austin, Texas October 20-23rd.
